11/10/2025 – The Fuengirola House of Culture will host tomorrow, Tuesday, November 11, at 7:00 p.m., the conference ‘Introduction to meditation: Less anxiety, more clarity’ by the Buddhist teacher Guen Kelsang Trime. This was announced this morning by the Councilor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, who indicated that the event will begin at 7:00 p.m. and admission will be free until capacity is reached.
“Tomorrow we will have an appointment again with our friends from the Kadampa center in Alhaurín. A Buddhist meditation center with which we have been working for many years, trying to lend a hand with issues that are related to mental health and self-care,” explained Romero.
In this sense, the councilor has pointed out that “in this case they are going to offer us an introduction to meditation by the teacher of the temple, Guen Kelsang Trime, who was already offering a conference last year in Fuengirola and the experience was most pleasant, because it offers clear concepts and also in a very friendly and relaxed way.”
Gen Kelsang Trime is a Buddhist nun who discovered the Kadam Dharma in 1998 and has been a teacher since 2007. Her clarity, solid spiritual vision and elegant, precise and approachable way of transmitting Buddhist teachings make Gen Kelsang Trime an admirable, inspiring teacher and an example to follow as a pure and sincere Kadampa practitioner.
Kadampa Meditation Center: The New Kadampa Tradition is a modern and dynamic Buddhist community offering practical and accessible teachings to improve everyday life. In Malaga they have a room for classes and meditation courses, and in Alhaurín el Grande, where the largest Buddhist temple in Europe is located, they organize events and more extensive courses with the possibility of adding meals and accommodation.
