Piano concert by María Márquez this Friday at the Manuel Delgado Perea House of Culture in Fuengirola


The recital, which is titled ‘A romantic evening at the piano’, will begin at 8:00 p.m. and admission will be free until capacity is reached.

11/10/2025 – The Manuel Delgado Perea House of Culture in Fuengirola will host this coming Friday, November 14, starting at 8:00 p.m., the concert ‘A romantic evening at the piano’ by María Márquez, as announced this morning by the Councilor for Culture Rodrigo Romero. Admission will be free until capacity is reached.

“This Friday we have a piano concert at the House of Culture. We will be accompanied by María Márquez, a pianist who has already given more than 400 concerts, is a piano teacher at the Costa del Sol Conservatory and has an album where she has specialized in romantic music,” explained Romero, noting that “she has been collaborating with us at the House of Culture for several years in the selection of artists performing classical music and now we are going to have the opportunity to listen to her.”

The concert will include pieces by Isaac Albéniz, Enrique Granados, Ernesto Lecuona and Manuel de Falla. Together with some nocturnes and waltzes by the passionate composer Frederic Chopin. All this in the hands of María Victoria Márquez Torres, professor at the Costa del Sol Conservatory in Fuengirola and expert in romantic and Spanish repertoire whose latest album is titled “A Romantic Piano.”

María Márquez has a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance from the Frederic Chopin University of Warsaw with Professor Ramiro Sanjines and the great Professor Jerzy Romaniuk.

His professional distinctions include: Honorable Mention for Spanish Music in the Villanueva del Rosario National Competition, 2nd prize in the Marbella Young Performers Showcase. At the same time, her career has been awarded by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Spain and by the Association of Artists, Performers and Performers of Spain who have supported her studies as a scholarship recipient.

On November 26, 2016, the Polish composer H. Górecki’s Concerto premiered in Spain with the Jopma orchestra of the Provincial Council of Málaga at the Edgar Neville Auditorium, achieving resounding success.

He has performed more than 400 recitals as a soloist and with orchestra in various venues and concert halls in Spain, England, Chile, Poland, France, Germany, Holland, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles (California), Switzerland, Mexico and Austria, including the famous Vienna Philharmonic.

Since 2007 she has combined her concert work with her work as a piano teacher. She has been a teacher in emblematic places such as the Royal Conservatory of Toledo and the Conservatory of Zaragoza. At the same time, in May 2013 she obtained the qualification as a Chamber Music teacher under the direction of Professor Krystyna Makowska-Ławrynowicz at the Frederic Chopin University in Warsaw.

Currently María Márquez is a piano teacher at the Costa del Sol Musical Conservatory in Fuengirola.
