10/31/2025 – Fuengirola City Council reminds that the registration period is still open for the first four courses of the free Training Plan for the unemployed: Basic restaurant and bar operations, Basic kitchen operations, Initial office automation and Artificial Intelligence. This was announced this morning by the Councilor for Training and Job Creation, Isaac Vargas, who explained that registrations can be formalized through the website www.fuengirola.portalem.comfrom the Fuengirola + Employment app or in person on the fourth floor of the Los Boliches Mayor’s Office.

“The registration period for the first four courses of the Training Plan will be open until next week,” said Vargas, who has specified that the deadline for the Basic Restaurant and Bar Operations and Basic Kitchen Operations courses will be open until November 5, while the Office Automation and Artificial Intelligence courses will be open until November 14.

The mayor has highlighted the Basic Restaurant and Bar Operations course, “a training offer that, given the great demand we have through the Municipal Employment Exchange, where we receive offers practically daily requesting waiters, is a good option to train and enter the world of hospitality.” This course will take place in the Colores building from November 10 to December 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Regarding the Basic Kitchen Operations course, the mayor has indicated that it will also be carried out in the Colores building and at the same time as the previous one, but starting on November 10 and ending on December 15.

For its part, the initial Office Automation course will take place from November 24 to 27, while the Artificial Intelligence course will take place from November 17 to 20. In both cases the classes will take place at the Los Boliches Mayor’s Office, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Municipal Training Plan

The mayor recalled that Mayor Ana Mula reported a few days ago of the launch of the new free Municipal Training Plan for the unemployed in the city, which includes a total of 49 courses and workshops and which aims to offer unemployed residents new tools and resources that allow them to improve their training when looking for a job.

Registration for each and every one of them is free and can be formalized, once they are called, in person on the fourth floor of the Mayor’s Office of Los Boliches, or electronically on the website www.fuengirola.portalem.com or in the Fuengirola + Employment app. These training proposals are divided into seven thematic blocks: Computer Science, New Technologies, Image, Sound and Communications; Languages ​​and Culture; – Hospitality, Construction and Services; Equality and personal well-being; – Urban Culture and Sports; as well as Arts and Crafts.
