10/31/2025 – The Fuengirola City Council promotes the economic activity of establishments in the different areas of the city with the celebration of the VI Neighborhood Commerce Fair, in order to bring businesses and establishments from other areas of the municipality closer to the center, and specifically in the most commercial area, the Plaza de la Constitución. This was announced today by the responsible councilor, Francisco Javier García Lara, who has announced that it will take place from November 21 to 23.

“One of the actions that we have been carrying out in previous years is to promote and give visibility to businesses that are located in the different neighborhoods of our city and for this we created the Neighborhood Fair, which this year reaches its sixth edition,” said García Lara, indicating that “a fair that aims to support our traditional commerce and that is completely free for our merchants.”

The mayor has encouraged local merchants from any sector, whether from Los Boliches, El Boquetillo, Miramar, San Cayetano… to register for this municipal initiative, explaining that “to do so, they must download an application from the Electronic Headquarters and submit it, either through the Electronic Headquarters or by email to comercial@fuengirola.org, from November 1 to 16. The following week we will publish the list of the successful bidders and From Friday, November 21 to Sunday, November 23, they may be located in the Plaza de la Constitución.

“The requirements to participate are simply to have an establishment open in Fuengirola and to submit the application within the established period of November 1 to 16,” explained García Lara.

This project emerged in 2019 as a suggestion from the components of the Commerce and Hospitality Roundtable and its objective is to promote, give greater visibility and energize small businesses in the town. “This is an activity included in the different promotional actions that we carry out from the Department of Commerce with the aim of supporting businessmen and entrepreneurs in our municipality,” said the mayor.
