9/9/2025 – The Gaviotas Beach will be the stage, this Saturday, September 13, of a beach volleyball tournament open to the participation of anyone who wishes and will serve to fire the season of this sport. This was announced this morning by the Councilor for Sports, Julio Rodríguez, and the president of the Volleyball Fuengirola Club, Ignacio Batallán, who indicated that the competition will take place from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 8:00 p.m. Registration to participate can be done by calling 603 57 45 97.

“We are very happy to tell the novelties that are included in the ‘Fuengirola in form’ program, which groups a total of 21 events and this time we want Rodríguez.

In this sense, the mayor has pointed out that “it will be a wonderful end of the party to say goodbye to the season and that it is open to the participation of the whole world. It is not exclusive to the members of the Fuengirola Volleyball Club, although obviously there will be a very important nucleus because they drag many people, but it will work very well because the categories are children’s, cadets, male and female senior and a new category that we loved. A modality that we already had a test in the month of August with great success and now we will repeat it.

For its part, Batallán explained that “it is a free event and open to the entire population of Fuengirola. It is an interesting opportunity for them to come, participate, enjoy this sport and, if they have not played volleyball, it is never a good opportunity to meet it. It is a very fun sport and, if they will try it, keep in mind that it is a sport that hooks a lot, so I invite everyone to come and participate”.
