It has been developed in the Elola sports center, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., for children between 4 and 12 years. It is a municipal initiative to facilitate the labor and family reconciliation of Fuengiroleños during the summer months
8/29/2025 – The mayor of Fuengirola, Ana Mula, has closed today the summer sports campus, a municipal initiative that this year has gathered more than 300 children between 4 and 12 years during the months of July and August in the Elola sports complex.
The campus, which has been developed from Monday to Friday, has had as its main axis the practice of different sports disciplines and educational activities in order to promote healthy leisure, teamwork and values such as effort, overcoming and coexistence.
“Labor and family conciliation in Fuengirola is a reality for many years and every summer we revalidate it with more participants, more proposals and more possibilities. We want each family to choose the activity that best suits their needs and the interests of their children,” said the governor.
Participants have been able to enjoy sports such as paddlers, basketball, handball, football or athletics, in addition to popular games, crafts and film projections.
Since last summer the facilities have a air conditioning system in the two pavilions of the Elola Sports Complex, allowing greater comfort during the activities. Also, some groups have participated in days of initiation to swimming in the Pool David Mecca, adapted to the different ages.
Support for families
Mula has underlined the importance of this initiative as a tool to help Fuenteroleñas families. “Our goal is to continue expanding the offer of activities every year, at affordable prices, in first level facilities and with the best team of professionals. Thus we reinforce our commitment to the families of Fuengirola and with the education in values of their children.”
