8/14/2025 – The senior area of the City of Fuengirola, which coordinates the Councilor for Families, Equality and Social Welfare, Cristina Bornao, has announced the expansion of places for the trip to Hornachuelos planned on September 25, after rapidly exhausting the initials. To respond to high demand, a second bus has been enabled. Registration, with a price of 62 euros, can already be formalized in the units of the senior citizen, located on Blanca Paloma.
The program includes back and forth -back transport, accompanying guide, route breakfast, local restaurant lunch, boat ride for the well -known ‘Cordoba fjords’ and travel insurance.
The departure is scheduled at 07:00 hours from Fuengirola, with brief stops during the journey, one of them to enjoy the breakfast included. Upon arrival, the participants will take a guided tour of this charming Municipality of Cordoba, nestled at the foot of Sierra Morena and characterized by its narrow streets, whitewashed houses and their rich Arab legacy.
During the tour, emblematic spaces such as the Plaza de Armas, the Hispanomusulman Castle, the Church of Santa María de los Ángeles, the City of Hornachuelos, the Chapel of the Savior, the Mirador de la Corraliza, the Posada de Los Arrieros and the Cave Caño del Hierro, can be admired.
Next, a cruise will be held by the Bembézar River, inside the Natural Park of Hornachuelos, surrounded by Mediterranean forest and riverbank. From the ship it will be possible to observe natural caves, leoned vultures, black stork nests and unique points such as the source of the three pipes, the Cross of the Ecijano and the monastery of Santa María de los Ángeles.
The day will conclude with a lunch in restaurant before embarking on the return trip to Fuengirola.
