10/16/2025 – The Youth Area of the Fuengirola City Council promotes the practice of outdoor drawing with a new meeting of Urban Sketchers, which on this occasion will take place on Sunday, October 26, at 10:30 a.m., at the Sohail castle. This was announced this morning by Councilor Isaac Vargas along with Lourdes Huerta, member of the Youth Council and promoter of the event.
“Today we present a very special initiative that unites art, creativity and enjoying the emblematic spaces of our city. We are talking about a new meeting of the Urban Sketchers Fuengirola group,” explained Vargas, pointing out that “it is a completely free activity that is aimed at all audiences, at all ages and regardless of artistic level.”
The councilor thanked Lourdes Huerta, “who is a member of the Municipal Youth Council and head of the Urban Sketchers Fuengirola group, for bringing an initiative like this to our city, which encourages artistic expression, talent and creativity.”
For her part, Lourdes Huerta explained that “we are resuming the meet-ups in Fuengirola. We already did one before the summer and now, once the heat has passed, we are resuming it again with a very magical day for this month of October, which will be inside the Sohail castle.”
In this sense, Huerta has indicated that “it is an immersive experience in which we seek to connect with our creative side. It is a completely free activity and you can come with family, with friends, to let yourself be carried away by the creativity and the environment in which we are going to be, which will make us travel to the past. You just have to bring the drawing materials: notebook, pencils, watercolors… We will start at ten thirty in the morning at the main door of the castle.” For any questions, those interested can contact the Urban Sketchers Fuengirola group through the Instagram profile @sketchers_fuengirola.
