Carvajal municipal support homes for young people and families in Fuengirola already reach 60% execution

9/23/2025 – The City of Fuengirola is advancing in the works of 24 municipal support housing in Carvajal, which are already 60% of its execution. It is an initiative of the Municipal Housing Access Plan, which will respond to the need to find this resource to 24 young people and Fuenteroleñas families who currently have difficulty paying for this well in the free market. Mayor Ana Mula, together with the councilor of the branch, Rocío Arriaga, have visited the works.

“We continue to develop the housing access plan. A year ago we delivered 26 municipal support floors, on María Pacheco Comunera Street, and, at the end of the last 2024, we started the construction of another 39 more, fifteen in the Pacos and 24 here, in Carvajal. Complexity of the plot in which they settle, which is on slope.

In this way, the Consistory began the construction of these 24 apartments, on Begoña Street in Carvajal, last November. These properties are intended for young people and Fuenteroleñas families with difficulties in accessing this good in the free market and will operate in a temporary affordable rental regime.

The total investment in this municipal initiative amounts to 3,868,581.94 euros, of which 20% will be funded by European funds Next Generation. The execution period of these works is 547 calendar days and the company Glesa is in charge of the work.

It will be a residential complex that will house two bedroom floors, two bathrooms and terrace, in addition to twelve seats located in the basement plant of the property. It is standing in a municipal lot, located on Begoña Street, which has an area of ​​3,376.51 square meters.

At the same time, the Department of Housing is promoting another municipal support property in Los Pacos, on Aliaria Street. In this case, with fifteen apartments also dedicated to families and young people with difficulties to get a roof in the free market. That is, the Consistory has under construction, at this time, 39 homes.

Finally, Mula recalled that these apartments will be granted in an affordable rental regime based on the parameters established in the Municipal Ordinance of Housing plaintiff.

In this regard, he recalled that the Fuestiroleños who wish to opt for the process of this and how many municipal support housing promotions foresee the session must be, as a first requirement, registered in the Municipal Registry of the plaintiff of housing.
