5/29/2026 -Fuengirola City Council has organized a dozen cultural activities in June for all audiences. The municipal program designed by the Department of Culture for this month includes concerts, exhibitions, archeology workshops, the XXV Children’s Humor and Magic Festival ‘Jajejijojú’ and the XXXII Modeling Contest, among other proposals that the responsible councilor, Rodrigo Romero, announced today.
The mayor has detailed the programming, recalling that until June 28, the ARTS exhibition of the municipal plastic arts workshops of the House of Culture will be open to the public at the City Museum, which can be visited for free from Tuesday to Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Continuing with the exhibition section, the collective exhibition of LGTIQ+ artists ‘Let’s Fest’, which is part of the Fulanita Fest festival, will also be open to the public at the House of Culture. It can be visited until June 5, from Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This exhibition will be followed at the House of Culture by the painting exhibition ‘Open Your Mind’ by Wolfgang Durán, which will open its doors on June 12.
As for the musical offering, jazz will be one of the main protagonists of the programming for the month of June, which includes three events with the Jazz Nights on the Roof of the Town Hall: the free show, ‘Keying the mystery. Jazz and poetry under the stars’, with Masha Ocean Quartet and the poet Álvaro Galán Castro, on June 4; Lailat Iman Quartet, with Imane Herradi, Oliver Sierra, Agustín Carrillo and J. Manuel Lucas, on June 11; and the ‘Espacios’ recital by Nacho Loring Quintet, on the 25th. In addition, the musical section also includes a concert from the Community Concerts cycle of Iberian Sinfonieta, which on this occasion will offer a recital accompanied on the piano by Zhiquiao Zhang. The Fuengirola Municipal Music Band will also be the protagonist of the June program with its first summer concert in the Parque de España. It will be on the 30th starting at 9:00 p.m.
An event that is already a classic of the June cultural program is the end-of-year exhibition of the classical ballet workshop of the House of Culture, which this year will offer the show ‘Dances of Don Quixote’ on June 5, at 8:00 p.m. at the Peace Palace, with free admission until capacity is reached.
