The Mayor’s Office of El Boquetillo will host a round table this Friday on fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue
The activity, organized by APAFFER with the collaboration of the City Council, will be held on May 15 at 10:30 a.m. with free admission. Specialists in pain, ozone therapies and nutrition will address different therapeutic alternatives to improve the quality of life of patients
5/12/2026 – The Councilor for Families, Equality and Social Welfare of the Fuengirola City Council, Cristina Bornao, held a press conference today with the president of APAFFER, Mercedes González Estévez, to report on the holding of a round table dedicated to integrative treatments for fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. The activity will take place this Friday, May 15, starting at 10:30 a.m., in the assembly hall of the Mayor’s Office of El Boquetillo with free admission until capacity is reached.
During the meeting, Dr. Carlos Morales, specialist in pain and ozone therapies, and María del Mar Córdoba Ramírez, nutritionist, will participate, who will address different therapeutic approaches aimed at improving the quality of life of people suffering from fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.
The round table will be moderated by the APAFFER psychologist, Montserrat Campos, and will also have the participation of the president of the organizing group, Mercedes González Estévez.
Cristina Bornao has highlighted “the important work that APAFFER carries out in support and accompaniment to people affected by this disease”, while pointing out the need to “continue promoting information and awareness initiatives that help give visibility to fibromyalgia and improve the well-being of those who suffer from it.”
For her part, Mercedes González Estévez has encouraged neighbors, patients and relatives to attend this informative day, in which tools and knowledge about complementary treatments that can help relieve symptoms and promote a better quality of life will be offered.
The City Council has reiterated the municipal commitment to collaboration with the city’s social and health associations, supporting activities that promote awareness, mutual support and the promotion of healthy habits.
