In this sense, the mayor recalled that last year 150 places were offered in the summer months “and this year we increased them to 180 places for adults in the months of July and August, divided into four specialties: pilates, functional training, choreographed activities and, for the first time, we are going to offer gentle gymnastics classes for seniors, which we can call gerontogymnastics, in which we will delve into balance, maintaining strength and “improving joint mobility”.

The schedule for these classes will be in the afternoon, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Regarding the prices, the mayor explained that “they are super affordable and you do not have to register.” Thus, the price of pilates classes, during the two months, will be 36 euros for registered residents in Fuengirola and 52 euros for non-registered residents; The classes for both functional training and choreographed activities will have a price of 28 euros for registered residents and 40 euros for non-registered residents, while the new gerontogymnastics classes will cost 24 euros with a discount for registered seniors and 32 euros for non-registered residents.

The 180 places offered will be divided into 60 places for pilates, 60 places for functional training, 30 for choreographed activities and another 30 for senior gymnastics or gerontogymnastics.
