The City Council encourages Fuengirola clubs to apply for Provincial Council subsidies on Sports
The supramunicipal entity has opened the aid line of the ‘Málaga Compete 2026’ program aimed at Malaga sports entities, worth 175,000 euros, which will be active until May 4
4/21/2026 – The Fuengirola City Council encourages the city’s sports clubs to apply for subsidies from the Malaga Provincial Council in matters of Sports. This was stated by the provincial deputy and councilor in the Fuengirola City Council, Francisco José Martín, who explained that the supra-municipal entity has opened an aid line worth 175,000 euros that will be active until May 4.
“The Malaga Provincial Council is once again launching a new call for subsidies aimed at sports clubs in the province, in this case within the ‘Málaga Compete’ program, endowed with a financial amount of 175,000 euros,” explained Martín, pointing out that “the bases of the call are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Malaga on April 17 and there they have all the necessary information to request the subsidy.”
This is a non-competitive call for applications and has two lines of aid: maximum category, with a subsidy of up to 9,000 euros, and sub-maximum category, of up to 6,000 euros. “The Department of Sports has already sent all the necessary information to the Fuengirola clubs so that they can qualify for this aid,” said Martín.
The deadline to submit applications will be open until May 4. The purpose of this aid is to finance the current expenses incurred by sports entities. Expenses such as the rental of non-own sports facilities in which the activity is carried out, transportation and accommodation for participation in competitive sports activity, as well as expenses on sports equipment (non-textile), insurance premiums, federation expenses and salary costs derived from the hiring of technicians, coaches, monitors or similar figures, will be eligible for subsidies.
“The deadline to submit applications ends on May 4 and we hope that all the clubs in our city apply for this call, can apply for this subsidy and benefit from this line of aid,” concluded the provincial representative.
