4/21/2026 – The Fuengirola City Council has opened the registration period for the Municipal Summer School for children from 3 years old. It will be held during the months of July and August from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the option of a morning classroom from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and a dining room from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Classes will take place at the Santa Amalia, Azahar and Valdelecrín schools. This was announced today by the Councilor for Education, Carmen Díaz, and those responsible for this activity, the psychologist Paula Carrión and the pedagogue Ana Calzado.

“Fuengirola was a pioneer in launching recreational camps in the months of July and August to promote the conciliation of families who need to go to work in these months and have no one to leave their children with,” Díaz explained, pointing out that “we do it through a company, which in this case will once again be Vaiana, which is the concessionaire of this activity. Places are limited and the registration period will be open until June 14.”
The hours of operation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with the option of morning classroom, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and dining room, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. As reported by the mayor, the monthly price per participant will be as follows: morning classroom: 25.41 euros; general activities schedule: 147.25 euros; dining room: 121 euros. This year, as a novelty, registrations can also be formalized for fortnights.
In this sense, the councilor recalled that for the implementation of the morning classroom and the dining room, a minimum number of students who request it is necessary.
For her part, pedagogue Ana Calzado explained the themes on which the Summer School will focus on this occasion. “In July we are going to work on a theme that we have called ‘I can be whatever I want to be’, aimed at the skills of the little ones so that they discover what they are capable of and gain self-confidence; in August we are going to address a theme that we have called ‘Galactic Mission’ in which we will encourage teamwork by touching on topics such as the trip to the Moon or the planets”
For her part, the psychologist of this activity, Paula Carrión, explained that “the children have a great time and that is important because they learn above all through motivation and play.”
In addition, during these two summer months a significant number of activities will be carried out, including gymkhanas, excursions to different areas of the city, crafts, guided games, etc. that will be adapted to the ages of the participants.
Thus, the Municipal Summer School will take place in the Santa Amalia, Azahar and Valdelecrín schools during the months of July and August and is aimed at children from three years old. In this way, starting today, those interested in being part of this program can obtain more information and register through the website https://www.vaianaespacioinfantilyfamiliar.com/campamento-verano/.
