The IX Fuengirola Half Marathon expands registrations to 3,000 places

4/21/2026 – The Fuengirola Half Marathon has expanded registrations to 3,000 places for its ninth edition, which will be held through the streets of the city on November 8. The mayor Ana Mula, accompanied by the mayor of Sports, Julio Rodríguez, the delegate of Top Gestión, Pedro Vázquez, and officials of local sports clubs, today officially presented this test, in which more than 1,300 people are already registered.

“We are already preparing the great Fuengirola sports festival. I encourage you all to register for Dorsalchip and prepare this sporting challenge in our city. We will continue to announce all the news in the coming months,” said the councilor during the event, held next to the Mare Nostrum roundabout, which is the urban enclave that will star in the commemorative t-shirt of the race.

Thus, last December the organization opened the registration process on the Dorsalchip.es website and more than 1,300 runners have already confirmed their presence. Starting today, on the same digital portal, the option to run the five-kilometer test is available.

The Fuengirola Half Marathon has been among the most popular events in Andalusia in recent years. Last year it broke registration records with 2,520 runners – 372 of them international from up to 30 different nationalities – and about 300 volunteers who helped develop the race.

Prices range from 8 euros for the 5 kilometer test, for ages 16 and up; up to 23 euros for the 21 kilometers, as long as registration occurs before September 13. From that date until November 1st they will have a price of 28 euros, while from November 2nd to 6th they will cost 33 euros. Fuengirola club athletes have a special price of 15 euros until August 31.

In response to the suggestions of its participants, as a novelty in this edition, the test will have starting boxes by time: Elite and chairs up to 1:30 hours, from 1:31 hours to 1:45 hours, from 1:46 hours to 2:00 hours and more than two hours.

Likewise, today’s event served to present the image of the commemorative t-shirt of the ninth edition. On this occasion, the Fuengirola urban enclave that illustrates it is the Mare Nostrum roundabout.

In this regard, Mula thanked the trust, commitment to sport and support of the sponsors of this sporting event, with the real estate developer Top Gestión as the main sponsor. Also to the local Castilla Bersabé Dental Clinic, which will sponsor the images and the paella that will be distributed among the runners at the end of the test.

As for the route, the organization has announced that it will once again present a flat, fast and visual route, as it will cross points of interest such as the Puente de la Armada, the Sohail Castle, the Bullring, the Paseo Marítimo or Los Boliches.

The Fairgrounds, point of departure and arrival, will once again be the epicenter of entertainment with a final party where raffles will be held, live music, physiotherapy service, children’s playroom, medal personalization and you can taste a paella prepared by the ‘Los Artistas Culinarios’ Peña.

Previously, on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7, the Plaza de España will once again host the ‘Corner Fair’ with stands related to sports clothing, health, leisure, nutrition and aesthetics.
