“The International Fair of the Countries celebrates three decades as a fully consolidated event and one of the great hallmarks of Fuengirola. It marks the beginning of the high tourist season and acts as a true letter of introduction of the city to the world,” said Ponce.

The mayor explained that the fair’s hours will be from 12:00 to 2:00, with a focus aimed at “afternoon.” Starting at 1:30 a.m. the music will stop both in the booths and on the attractions. Likewise, he highlighted the effort made by the 33 participating delegations to offer folklore “more authentic, of higher quality and more alive than ever.”

Among the new features of this edition are the incorporation of Iceland, which is participating for the first time, as well as the return of countries such as Thailand, Ecuador, Palestine and Finland. Regular countries such as Argentina, participating in all editions held to date, will be present alongside them.

Children’s Day will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 29, the opening day, with attractions at 50% of their usual price. In addition, a noise-free hour will be established every day, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., to facilitate the enjoyment of people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
