A contemporary, close and full of humor Don Quixote

Hunger for Quixote is a surprising show full of humor that, accompanied by live music, proposes a unique journey through Don Quixote de la Mancha, the most universal work of Spanish literature.

The proposal reinterprets the classic from a contemporary, direct and accessible perspective, connecting with today’s audience without giving up the Cervantes essence. Between irreverence and subtlety, the staging stands out for its closeness and its acting truth, inspired by the tradition of the comedians of the Golden Age who toured the comedy corrals bringing stories capable of making people laugh, move and reflect.

Through humor and emotion, the show reclaims culture as an essential food and a transformative tool, inviting the viewer to rediscover the value of books and imagination.

As one of the most emblematic phrases of Alonso Quijano’s character recalls: “Read a lot and walk a lot, because whoever does it sees much more and knows more”, an idea that summarizes the spirit of this stage proposal, which sends a clear message: we are not mills… we are giants!

Theater and live music

The play is directed and starring David García-Intriago and features live music by violinist Santiago Vokram, member of the rock group Mägo de Oz, which gives the performance a unique and enveloping sound dimension.
