The event will take place on August 12, from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with sports tournaments, exhibitions, workshops, live music and activities for young people of all ages.
07/22/2026. The Fuengirola City Council, through the Youth Department coordinated by Isaac Vargas, will celebrate a new edition of International Youth Day on August 12 with a complete program of sports, recreational and leisure activities that will take place in the Gran Parque de La Loma, between 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.
The objective of this initiative is to turn this emblematic space in the city into a great meeting point for young people, promoting healthy lifestyle habits, participation and coexistence through sport, culture and entertainment.
Vargas has encouraged young people from Fuengirola to participate in this celebration. “One more year we want to commemorate International Youth Day with a program designed for young people to enjoy a different night, full of activities, sports and fun. Our goal is for it to be an unforgettable day of coexistence, in which they can share experiences and continue making the city,” he said.
The programming includes the paddle tennis tournament in pairs, the final of the 7-a-side Soccer Tournament, a volleyball tournament, a 3×3 basketball tournament as well as a functional training exhibition. In addition, new features for this edition include a finger skate exhibition, environmental workshops for young people of all ages and a musical performance by the group HACHE GZ and ADRIO O: and there will also be a batucada workshop and a K-Pop dance contest.
People interested in participating in the different proposed initiatives may formalize their registration through the council’s own email: youth@fuengirola.org as well as through the Instagram profile Juventud_fuengirola.
Isaac Vargas also wanted to thank the involvement of all the collaborating entities that make this celebration possible. “I want to thank the support and help of the sports clubs and groups of our city, such as Club Salliver Fuengirola, Vóley Fuengirola, Polideportivo Fuengirola 92, Athletic Fuengirola, Alpfingerboard and the Kpop Fuengirola Association, as well as the companies that participate in this initiative. Thanks to their commitment we can offer varied and quality programming for our young people,” highlighted the mayor.
With this initiative, Fuengirola City Council reaffirms its commitment to young people from Fuengirola, promoting meeting and participation spaces that promote healthy and active leisure, coinciding, in this case, with the celebration of International Youth Day.
