Fuengirola hosts the III Solidarity Race of the National Police ‘Ruta 091’ on September 5
Registration, which costs thirteen euros for adults and ten for minors, can be done on the website www.ruta091.es and the proceeds will be destined to AFA
The departure will be at 7:00 p.m. from Pedro Cuevas Square
The mayor of Fuengirola, Ana Mula, attended today the presentation of the III Solidarity Race ‘Ruta 091’, organized by the National Police to benefit the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer’s Patients Fuengirola-Mijas (AFA). At the event, held at the Mayor’s Office of El Boquetillo, the chief commissioner of this body in the town, Juan Cabas, and the director of the Banco Santander office, as sponsor of the test, were present, as well as the director of the ‘Adolfo Suarez’ day center, Rocío Segovia. It will be next September 5, leaving at 7:00 p.m. from Pedro Cuevas Square.
“In Fuengirola we are very proud of the National Police. This test that we present today is an example of the best values that our city embodies: solidarity and collaboration between entities. As mayor, it is an honor to make available the possible means to make this sporting event a reality, the proceeds of which will be allocated entirely to the extraordinary work of AFA,” said the councilor.
During the event, Mula and the person in charge of the Local Police Station revealed the poster for this charity event, as well as the t-shirts that its participants will wear. To register, the organization has set up the website www.ruta091.esas well as two categories: one absolute, of 5,091 meters and with a price of thirteen euros; and children’s, between 200 and 400 meters, depending on age, and with a cost of ten euros. The proceeds will go entirely to AFA and the deadline to sign up expires on September 1.
The absolute race will start from Plaza Pedro Cuevas, at 7:00 p.m. The route prepared by the technicians of the Department of Sports includes the Paseo Marítimo, specifically, to Carvajal. The arrival will be at the same location mentioned above.
