The Javier Castillo study room, in the Lope de Vega library in El Boquetillo, will also remain operational with its usual hours after the special exam period
6/30/2026 – The study room of the Mayor’s Office of Los Boliches will maintain its usual opening hours throughout the summer to respond to the demand of users who use these facilities during the summer period. This was announced today by the Deputy Mayor of Los Boliches, Rosana Bravo, and the Councilor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero.
In this way, the room will remain open from July 1 to September 15, from Monday to Friday, uninterrupted from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., thus making it easier for users to continue with their academic preparation in a space suitable for study.
«The users of the Los Boliches study room, among whom are university students, opposition students and students of different educational levels, had expressed their interest in this service continuing to function normally during the summer months. We have responded to this request because we understand that many take advantage of these dates to prepare for exams, competitive examinations or the next academic year and we want to continue offering them comfortable and accessible facilities,” explained Rosana Bravo.
The councilor has pointed out that this space registers high use throughout the year, consolidating itself as a highly valued resource by residents, especially among those who need a quiet and suitable environment for studying.
For his part, the Councilor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, recalled that the City Council also keeps the Javier Castillo study room in operation, located in the Lope de Vega library in El Boquetillo, thus expanding the municipal offer of spaces for study.
In this sense, Romero has indicated that this room will maintain its special hours until July 10 due to the exam period, remaining open every day of the week, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Subsequently, between July 11 and August 19, it will recover its usual hours: from Monday to Friday and holidays it will open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., while on Saturdays and Sundays it will remain open from 9:00 a.m. to midnight.
«At the City Council we continue to focus on offering services that facilitate the daily lives of our neighbors and respond to their real needs. Keeping these study rooms open during the summer represents important support for hundreds of students and candidates who continue to prepare their academic and professional objectives during these months,” the mayor concluded.
