In July, the Fuengirola City Council begins the process of renewing places for sports activities and municipal schools for the 2026/27 academic year
Users will be able to maintain their place between July 1 and July 31 through the Sports website, the Citizen Card app or in person at the Sports Department. On August 3 and 4, schedule changes can be requested within the same activity and on August 5, the registration period will open for new users
6/24/2026 – During the month of July, Fuengirola City Council will launch the process of renewing places for municipal sports schools, dry-run activities and pool activities corresponding to the 2026/27 academic year. This was announced by the Councilor for Sports, Julio Rodríguez, who has reported the dates established so that current users can keep their place for the next season.
“It is important that all our Sports users know what the renewal calendar is for the next season, which is going to start very soon, because from July 1 until the 31st they have time to renew their place, which is reserved throughout the month,” explained Rodríguez.

In this way, as a novelty, people over 65 years of age will be the first to complete their procedures, and will be able to renew their registration between July 1 and 3. “During these days, only older people will have the option to renew their place and, although they will also be able to do so during the rest of the month, on these days they will not have to wait in lines and the process will be faster as it is aimed only at them,” said the mayor.
Subsequently, from July 6 to 31, the general renewal period will remain open for all users of the sports schools, guided activities and swimming pool. During this period, places will be reserved for participants who have completed the active course and wish to continue during the next season.
Renewals can be carried out electronically through the Department of Sports website and through the specific Sports access available in the Citizen Card app. Likewise, those who prefer it may carry out the procedure in person at the offices of the Department of Sports, located in the Elola Sports Complex, from 8:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
“With this system we guarantee that regular users can keep their place with complete peace of mind, having several weeks to complete the process without rushing and with different channels at their disposal,” said Rodríguez.
Once the renewal period has ended, a specific period will be enabled on August 3 and 4 to request schedule changes within the same activity. Thus, users will be able to opt for another time group whenever there are vacant places, maintaining the activity in which they are already registered.
Finally, on August 5, the general registration period for new users will open, allowing access to the places that have become available in the different disciplines offered by the Department of Sports for the 2026/27 academic year.
The mayor also recalled that certain activities must renew their registration exclusively in person. This is the case of the Santa Fe de Los Boliches Municipal Football School, whose students must formalize their renewal during the month of July at the offices of the Department of Sports. Any change in category or age group must also be made in person, as well as for users of the Los Boliches Senior Citizen groups and the Los Boliches Qi Gong afternoon groups.
With this campaign, the City Council continues to facilitate access to sports practice and the management of registration procedures, offering users different options to formalize their renewals in a comfortable, quick and accessible way.
