The White Night of San Juan will once again fill the beaches and beach bars of Fuengirola with music, gastronomy and festive atmosphere
The 29 establishments on the coast will offer live performances and will be able to stay open until three in the morning to celebrate the most special night of the summer
6/19/2026 – The beach bars of Fuengirola will once again become the epicenter of the celebration of the White Night of San Juan, one of the most anticipated events on the summer calendar. This was announced today by the Councilor for Beaches, José Sánchez, accompanied by the Councilors for Cleaning and Tourism, Carmen Díaz and José Luis Ponce, together with representatives of businessmen in the sector, who have presented a new edition of this initiative that will transform the entire Fuengirola coastline into a great space for leisure, music and coexistence to welcome the summer.
During this special night, the 29 beach bars in the city will offer live musical performances and special gastronomic proposals for residents and visitors. In addition, exceptionally, the City Council will authorize the extension of the usual hours, allowing live music until two in the morning and the opening of establishments until three.
“The Night of San Juan is one of the most special celebrations on the entire Mediterranean coast and in Fuengirola it has a very special meaning due to the enormous influx of people who enjoy our beaches every year,” José Sánchez highlighted.
The municipal official recalled that more than a decade ago the City Council opted for a new celebration model, replacing the, until then, traditional grand concert with multiple performances spread along the entire promenade. “We decided to take the party to our entire coastline and count on the collaboration of our beach bars, which are magnificent ambassadors of Fuengirola. Thanks to their involvement, we ensure that the celebration reaches every corner of our beaches and that neighbors and visitors can enjoy a unique night in a privileged environment,” he noted.
Call for responsibility
The Beach Councilor recalled that bonfires continue to be prohibited along the entire Fuengirola coast for reasons of safety and environmental protection. “Although fire has traditionally been linked to this celebration, in Fuengirola it is not allowed to light bonfires on the beach. There will be specific surveillance to prevent it and guarantee that the night passes normally and without risks,” explained Sánchez, who encouraged all attendees to enjoy the party responsibly.
Likewise, the mayor has appealed to the civility of those who participate in the celebration, making appropriate use of the containers, vats and recycling bins that the City Council will distribute along different points of the coast. “We ask for everyone’s collaboration so that waste is deposited in the designated places and not left abandoned in the sand. Our goal is to make the enjoyment of such a special night compatible with the care of our beaches,” he indicated.
To this end, both the Department of Cleaning and the Municipal Beach Cleaning Service will launch a special reinforcement device that will begin working early in the morning so that the coastline is in an optimal state for bathers during the morning of the 24th.
In this way, Fuengirola will once again celebrate a White Night of San Juan marked by live music, gastronomy, coexistence and respect for the environment, consolidating a celebration model that attracts thousands of people every year and helps boost the tourist and economic activity of the city.
