The Fuengirola City Council organizes an excursion to Iznájar on April 24 aimed at older people in the city
The price of the trip (55 euros) includes luxury bus, accompanying guide, breakfast, lunch with menu, scheduled visits and travel insurance
3/30/2026 – The Councilor for Families, Equality and Social Welfare, responsible for the Senior Citizens Area, Cristina Bornao, today presented a cultural trip to Iznájar, aimed at the city’s seniors, which will take place on April 24.
“From the Senior Citizens Area we continue with the programming of trips and excursions and on this occasion, on April 24 we will head to the Cordoban town of Iznájar,” indicated the mayor, who highlighted that this enclave is considered one of the most beautiful towns in the province of Córdoba and Andalusia.
Its privileged location, at the top of a hill crowned by a castle and surrounded by the waters of the largest reservoir in Andalusia, make it a unique destination. Its steep streets, adorned with white houses, pots full of flowers and poems, offer visitors an environment of tranquility and beauty.
During the journey there will be a brief stop for breakfast before continuing to the destination. Once in Iznájar, participants will be able to enjoy a guided tour of some of its most emblematic places, such as the Hisn Ashar Castle, the Church of Santiago Apóstol de Iznájar, the public library and the Patio de las Comedias.
The program also includes lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, the group will travel to Villanueva del Trabuco to visit the Fuente de los 101 Caños, a natural monument declared in 2012, formed by a stone wall from which water flows directly from the mountains and which is currently at its maximum splendor.
The price of the trip (55 euros) includes luxury bus, accompanying guide, breakfast, lunch with menu (wine and water included), scheduled visits and travel insurance.
The registration period opened today at the Senior Citizens’ offices on Blanca Paloma Street and will remain active until the available places are filled.
The Department of Senior Citizens encourages the municipality’s seniors to participate in this activity, designed to promote coexistence, cultural enjoyment and knowledge of the Andalusian environment.
