6/2/2026 – Fuengirola City Council has designed an extensive program of activities to celebrate Carnival during the weekend of February 14 and 15, with proposals aimed at all audiences. This was announced by the Councilor for Festivals and Traditions, Isabel Moreno, who explained that the programming will include a large night party on Saturday in the Plaza de la Constitución and a children’s festive day on Sunday morning in the Parque de España and Avenida Condes de San Isidro.

“From the Fuengirola City Council we celebrate the Carnival the weekend before Ash Wednesday. This year it will take place on February 14 and 15, also coinciding with the celebration of Valentine’s Day, so it will be a particularly lively weekend full of activities,” said the mayor.

Specifically, on Saturday, February 14, starting at 7:30 p.m., the Plaza de la Constitución will be the epicenter of the Carnival festival, with the traditional costume contest in the adult and group categories, as well as different musical performances that will liven up the evening.

The day will start beforehand, at 7:00 p.m., with a parade by the Sambagua do Río batucada, which will tour the downtown area until 9:00 p.m., filling the streets with rhythm and color to invite neighbors and visitors to join the celebration.

Different performances will take place on the stage of the Plaza de la Constitución. At 7:35 p.m. the participation of the troupe ‘The Girls of Campillos’ is scheduled, followed by the artist Rafa Taleguilla, at 8:50 p.m., and the duo Paco y Llina, who will close the night with their performance starting at 10:00 p.m.

On the other hand, Sunday, February 15, will be dedicated to the little ones, with a great children’s Carnival party that will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will take place in the Parque de España, Avenida Condes de San Isidro, in the section between Victoria and Molino de Viento streets, and Plaza de España.

As detailed by Moreno, the space will have a large area of inflatables, a specific area for children from one to three years old, a tricycle circuit, a 360-degree photocall, children’s animation characters, creative workshops and recreational activities. In addition, the Cristóbal Blanca del Moral auditorium will host a children’s theater performance as part of the morning program.

The day will conclude around 1:00 p.m. with the great children’s Carnival party, where participants will gather to enjoy a festive and family atmosphere.

Finally, the councilor has invited neighbors and visitors to participate in all the scheduled activities: “We encourage everyone to come and enjoy the Carnival in Fuengirola. It is a program that we have prepared with enthusiasm, thinking about offering moments of fun and coexistence, especially for families and the little ones.”
