12/30/2025 – Hundreds of children are participating in the Medieval Children’s Festival that is taking place throughout the day in the central area of the city, specifically around Condes de San Isidro Avenue, where games, attractions, exhibitions and workshops come together, all set in the Middle Ages.

Once again, the activities, all of them with a medieval theme, have been taking place since eleven in the morning on Avenida Condes de San Isidro, Calle San Antonio, Camino de Coín and Plaza Reyes Católicos. Throughout this area, a medieval market has been recreated with more than 20 stalls, merchants and all types of decoration: banners, banners, colored strips, etc.
In this way, the little ones have had the opportunity to participate in workshops on minting medieval coins, notaries, combats, pottery, saddlery, loom, sealed letters, medieval painting, amulets or ceramics. In addition, participatory workshops aimed at young people have also been developed, in which they have been able to learn how a knight dressed, notions of fencing, as well as training and combat exhibitions, among other initiatives such as exhibitions of birds of prey or acrobatics shows.
Likewise, around twenty medieval stalls have been installed selling artisanal products, and they are located on the road to allow the shops and businesses in the area to be open to the public during their usual hours. To all this we must add the parades that tour the area at different times.
It was more than ten years ago when these games were held for the first time and the success was such, both in terms of organization and participation, that the Fuengirola City Council has been repeating this festive event ever since, which serves as a preamble to the Three Kings Parade that will take place on January 5, when their Majesties arrive by helicopter at the Elola sports complex and then begin their tour of the municipality.
