The XVI Open Fuengirola La Bandera Golf Tournament takes place this Saturday in El Chaparral with more than a hundred participants
The championship will bring together 108 players distributed in three categories—two men’s and one woman—and will be held under the stableford modality, with the shooting scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m.
11/27/2025 – The XVI Open Fuengirola La Bandera Golf Tournament will be held this coming Saturday, November 29, on the El Chaparral course with more than a hundred participants. A total of 108 players will participate in this edition, as announced this morning by the Sports Councilor, Julio Rodríguez.
“For us, it is already a classic at the end of November. The La Bandera Tournament celebrates its sixteenth edition and I want to congratulate this Fuengirola club for standing firm and continuing to add members year after year,” Rodríguez highlighted. “It is a credit to its president, Clemente Castillo, and its entire board. Although in Fuengirola we do not have a golf course, we have a great fan of this sport, and we are grateful to El Chaparral, in Mijas, for opening its doors to celebrate this now traditional amateur golf tournament.”

In the sports section, awards will be given to the top three finishers in each category and to the scratch winner. In addition, special awards will be given to the closest ball on all par 3s and to the closest ball to the flag, in two strokes, on the 12th hole.
“From the Fuengirola City Council we collaborate in the promotion of the tournament, as well as in the participation and in the trophies that will be awarded in this event that, for sixteen years, has carried the name of Fuengirola to the top,” concluded Rodríguez, who congratulated Clemente Castillo, the La Bandera Golf Club and all the players who will enjoy a magnificent day of golf at El Chaparral.
