The City Council organizes a trip to New York from February 25 to March 3 for the residents of Fuengirola
The price is 1,950 euros and includes flights from Malaga with a stopover in Madrid, accommodation at the Sheraton hotel in Times Square, breakfast and two excursions. The initiative is organized in collaboration with Halcón Viajes, although the reservation can be made at any agency in the city
11/19/2025 – Fuengirola City Council has launched a new trip aimed at the city’s residents, which on this occasion offers the opportunity to visit New York from February 25 to March 3. The Councilor for Tourism, José Luis Ponce, has presented the initiative together with the heads of Halcón Viajes in Fuengirola, Luis González and Sofía Arias, who have explained that the package costs 1,950 euros per person, with flights from Malaga (stopover in Madrid), accommodation at the Sheraton Times Square hotel, five breakfasts and two excursions included.
“We present a trip designed for all Fuengirola residents, but especially for those who want to get to know New York although they prefer to do so with the peace of mind of traveling accompanied by staff from the City Council and the agency,” said Ponce, indicating that “the objective is that participants only have to enjoy and live an unforgettable experience.”
The mayor has detailed that the journey will be made with Iberia, departing from Malaga and connecting in Madrid. At their destination, travelers will stay for five nights in the heart of Manhattan, allowing them to make the most of each day without long trips. “We have looked for comfort and a strategic location, that is why we have chosen the Sheraton Times Square,” he added.
The program includes two guided excursions: a tour of Upper and Lower Manhattan, to see the most emblematic places in the city; and the route of contrasts in New York, a tour of the different districts that allows us to discover the cultural diversity that we have seen reflected so many times in cinema.
For his part, Luis González thanked the City Council and the Department of Tourism for their trust “for continuing to support local businesses and allowing us to organize a trip on ideal dates, coinciding with White Week.”
Sofía Arias has also highlighted the tranquility that traveling in a group brings: “Many people feel a certain respect when traveling alone to New York. This format allows them to enjoy safety, support and comfort, in addition to having a magnificently located hotel.”
Although the trip is organized together with Halcón Viajes, reservations can be made at any travel agency in Fuengirola. “Of course, we invite anyone who wishes to visit us at our office on Paseo Santos Rein, next to La Canasta, although any agency in the city can offer information and manage registration,” those responsible for Halcón Viajes recalled.
