The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juan Manuel Moreno, and Mayor Ana Mula have opened today the new facilities where the population of this area of the city has already received attention.

“Today we reinforce, in an important way, the health care of the Fuestiroleños with this expansion of the Boliches Health Center. Already then, when we opened together in the new health center of the Pacos, president, he said that we were living a historical moment. And I do not want to repeat myself. But these advances that our city is experienced, after so many years of waiting by the fues governor.

In the same way, to the highest representative of the region, it has valued the “great interest” in advancing in health matters expressed by the mayor and the City Council, as well as the collaboration shown at all times.

The new facilities have meant an autonomic investment of 1,527,219.53 euros- consistent with European funds- and has led to the sum of 1,010 square meters, 674 square meters of the care area and 336 of the basement diaphanous to the health complex of primary care.

The property consists of two floors on the ground, with a twelve new consultations, communicated with the old building. In this way, the Boliches Health Center has already gone from having 24 to 36 medical care rooms and an emergency room, as well as a basement without adapting, in principle, but that will enable in the future its adaptation for complementary uses.

This action adds to the recent construction and implementation of the Pacos Health Center-in order in February of this year and that has meant the first new sanitary infrastructure that the Board builds in Fuengirola in the last 40 years-as well as the creation of the Mental Health Unit and the offices of the Costa del Sol Health District, in El Boquetillo.

“There are even more infrastructure to do, but it is undeniable that the regional government, now, listen and meet the needs of Fuengirola. Those who have refused for almost 40 years are beginning to arrive in the last seven and this must be the path of the future to follow our city next to the Junta de Andalucía,” said Ana Mula.
