The trousseau of the Empress of Fuengirola´ for the 50th anniversary of the arrival in the city of the Virgen de la Esperanza, Marian holder of said Cofrade Corporation. It will be visitable from September 18 to October 10, starting at 8:00 p.m., with an initial conference and will show the trousseau of the aforementioned image.
“The Passion brothers are immersed in the celebration of this event, and how could it be otherwise, the City Council also wants to be part of this special moment. In this way, we want to contribute to the dissemination of our traditions, which are also part of the life of our city,” explained the mayor.
In this way, during the three weeks of life of this exhibition, the visitor can approach the history of this brotherhood, and more specifically, to the popular devotion that awakens this image, dated between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Photographs of his arrival in the city will be exhibited, in December 1974, until today, as well as elements that are part of their particular trousseau.
In this sense, Antonio Ramírez has taken the opportunity to invite all Fuels and visitors to know this exhibition first hand. At the same time, he recalled that on October 18, María Santísima de la Esperanza will travel the streets of the city in extraordinary triumphal procession, “being the most important act of the program of acts of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of her arrival in Fuengirola and incorporation into the brotherhood.”
