Fuengirola will celebrate world welfare weekend on September 19 at Pedro Cuevas Square


The city joins the World Wellness Weekend, an international event present in more than 150 countries, with more than a hundred activities for all ages. It is an appointment framed in the programming ‘Fuengirola in form’, which includes activities such as zumba, dance classes, belly dance, massages or reading of children’s stories, among others

9/2025 – Fuengirola will host on September 19 a new edition of the weekend of world welfare, which will be held at Pedro Cuevas Square from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The day will bring together professionals from the health and well -being sector of the city, with a complete program of free activities that includes zumba, dance classes, belly dance, massages, reading children’s stories, among many other proposals. The initiative is part of the municipal program ‘Fuengirola in form’ and is part of the World Wellness Weekend, an international event that promotes comprehensive well -being and that develops simultaneously in more than 150 countries.

The Councilor for Sports, Julio Rodríguez, has indicated that “this event is one of the great attractions of our sports and well -being ‘Fuengirola in form’. Last year it was a resounding success and this time we will offer more than a hundred activities again, not only in the Pedro Cuevas Square, but also in different local businesses that have adhered to the initiative”.

Rodríguez has also highlighted the solidarity aspect of the meeting: “We will have a market in the square whose benefits will go to the Circle of Women Luna Circle. It is a pride to see how sport, health and social commitment join in this celebration.”

Activities for all ages

During the day, there will be proposals for different audiences: from children’s storytelling and zumba for children, to relaxation activities, body expression and alternative therapies for adults. Likewise, several well -being centers will open their doors offering free treatments such as improtherapy, timber, facial cleaning or hypnosis.

Lina Baddouca, representative of the Cadi Association for Children’s Diversity and Organizer of the event, who has invited citizens to participate, has also participated in the presentation. “We want this day to be an opportunity to discover physical, emotional activities and also related to the care of the home and the environment. In addition to the solidarity market, we will have stands of different social associations of the province that have joined the initiative.”

In addition, Badouca explained that on the morning of Friday, September 19, activities aimed at students in the city’s schools will be carried out, including children’s zumba classes. Likewise, four Welfare Centers of Fuengirola will join the initiative by opening its facilities and offering for free various facial treatments and therapies. To participate, each professional will appear in the official program with a contact number, which it will be enough to call a place in the corresponding activity. Among the proposals available are Maderotherapy, Preseotherapy, Facial Cleaning and Hypnosis.
