8/2125 – The Fuengirola Public Libraries Network opens the registration period for book lovers to participate in one of the 25 reading clubs that have been scheduled, as one of the multiple activities that the department to promote the promotion of reading among the residents of the city. The Councilor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, has encouraged everyone to be part of some of these appointments in which the opinions and comments are commonly put on a literary creation.

“All people who are interested in participating in one of our 25 reading clubs, can come to our libraries and choose which of them is the most interested to enjoy their favorite readings in group,” said Romero.

The first registration period will begin on September 1 at 10:00 a.m. and will end on September 7 at 11:59 p.m. Each person can register only in a reading club, except in the film and music club, which can be combined with another club. On September 11, a second term will open with the squares that have been free, aimed at both new interested parties and those who wish to register in a second club.

In this sense, the mayor has stressed that “reading is a very intimate act, because it is a conversation between the author and you, interpreting what he is wanting to say, but when the reading suddenly becomes a group action, in which a chapter has been read and discussed about it or deepens the motivations of the characters or in the historical context of the work, the reading is enriched in an exponential way.”

Regarding the different reading club options that are offered, the mayor has indicated that “we have reading clubs in the three libraries, some concerted with schools or with entities such as Fuensocial, Poetry, Comic, Narrative, History, History, Youth Reading Clubs, easy reading… Clubs of all kinds so we can enjoy our favorite readings in groups”.

Spanish and Spanish -American narrative, contemporary narrative, comic, easy reading, historical narrative, romantic narrative, Asian narrative, poetry, musical genres or cinema, are some of the themes of the different reading clubs, to which this year a trial and poetry reading club has been added as novelties These literary circles.

In addition, there are also three youth narrative clubs in concerted centers, which are distributed in different educational centers in the city so that it is not necessary to move to libraries.

The registration period will be open from day 1 to September 7 and can be done through the web www.bibliotecaspublicas.es/fuengirola. Among the requirements to meet is being a member of the Andalusian library network and attending the sessions, which are usually biweekly, monthly or quarterly. The activity is completely free for participants.
