8/8/2025 – The Fuengirola City Council attended throughout the first half of the year about 600 incidents in the San Cayetano neighborhood, through the Gecor application ‘Together Fuengirola Avanza’. This has been announced today by the councilor responsible for this area of the city, Isaac Vargas, and the Councilor Coordinator of Barrios, Isabel Moreno, who have encouraged the neighbors to send them their suggestions and proposals through the email sancayetano@fuengirola.org. In addition, the municipal head visits the neighborhood every Monday morning and Thursday afternoon to review the status of its streets and serve their neighbors in person in the possession of mayor.
“In the San Cayetano neighborhood, during the first six months of 2025, there have been a total of 592 parts of incidence through the App Gecor, of which a total of 503 have been resolved, which means that 85% of all of them were remedied, which gives a good sample of the rapid response offered between the neighbors and the town hall before any of the demands of the neighborhood,” Vargas explained.
In this sense, the mayor has pointed out that “the most common notices we receive through this platform have to do with road maintenance and intervention services to resolve damage to public roads, as well as electricity supply and cleanliness.”
For its part, Isabel Moreno, who is responsible for coordinating the different areas of the city, has indicated that the task of the neighborhood councilors is to review the state of the roads that make up the neighborhood, as well as the correct functioning of municipal services, manage the different incidents that occur in it and directly serve the residents of this part of the town.
In this sense, the municipal head has indicated that he dedicates two days a week, Mondays in the morning and Thursday afternoon, to visit the neighborhood and meet in person with his neighbors to know his needs. In addition, residents in this neighborhood can contact him to transfer his suggestions, notices or demands through the email address sancayetano@fuengirola.org.
