The Fuengirola City Council puts the business development center ‘Fuengirola Emprende’ operational
It is located on Miguel Bueno Street and will serve as an incubator of companies to enhance self -employment among Fuengiroleños. Applications to use these facilities, for a maximum period of up to three years, must be formalized in the General Registry and includes technical advice
9/2025 -The Fuengirola City Council puts the business development center ‘Fuengirola Emprende’, which is located in a municipal ownership premises of Miguel Bueno Street. Mayor Ana Mula, together with the Councilor for Employment Creation, Isaac Vargas, and the mayor of Education, Carmen Díaz, have visited this installation, which aims to provide the young people of the city with a place to start their business adventure through self -employment.
“The interest in living in Fuengirola and developing a business project is increasing. This is demonstrated by economic data, such as unemployment rate, hiring in the municipal employment stock or opening license applications, which are getting better. But as I always say, it can be done even more. And I think that, in terms of entrepreneurship, we have a long way to go. The first ideas of self -employment, ”said the governor.
In this way, and thanks to the European Financing Program Edusi ‘Fuengirola + Ciudad’, the Consistory adapted the premises to turn it into offices where to be able to house this entrepreneurship. Its facilities consist of 200 square meters in which an entrance hall, attention and waiting zone, work area with computer stalls, two office rooms, meeting room, an office and toilets are distributed.
Thus, from Monday to Saturday, new entrepreneurs can make use of these facilities, prior concession by the Department of Employment Creation. They must present a project, pay a symbolic rental (€ 30 more VAT per month) and start their company within six months. They can use these facilities up to three years.
After an agreement signed with the Junta de Andalucía, its beneficiaries will be able to access the technical personnel advice of the Andalusian Entrepreneurship Center (CADE), which is also present in these facilities.
The presentation of applications is permanent and can be formalized in person in the entrance records of the City Council or the two holdings of mayor of the city, as well as telematic in the electronic record.
